Greetings From Professor Larch!

Hello, there! Hej där! Hallo! Hei siellä! Halló þar! However you may pronounce it, and welcome to the world of Pokémon! My name's Larch, but most everyone calls me the Professor. Now, I'm sure you already have your questions, but before we get ahead of ourselves, allow me to provide a brief overview of this world.

As I'm sure you're no doubt aware by now, this world is inhabited by creatures known as "Pokémon", and we humans live alongside them as friends; some keep them as pets; others use them for work; and still others use their Pokémon to battle and forge stronger bonds. As for myself, I endeavor to study as much about Pokémon and their ecosystems as I can- for while there's a great deal about them that we've already learned, we've only just scratched the surface insofar as what the Pokémon world has to offer.

Well, then, that's enough about me, so how about you tell me a little bit more about yourself? For starters, are you a boy? or are you a girl?

...Wait, hold on; I should already know that...

Anyways! I've probably kept you waiting long enough, so what's say we gloss over the finer details and jump right in- fame, fortune, or whatever you may be seeking, all of it awaits you in the world of Pokémon!
